Spring Cycling in Tiburon and Belvedere for Fitness & Skills

Spring Bicycling Tiburon Belvedere

Group Rides To Benefit 6th- 8th Graders:

 

WHO: Intermediate to advanced cyclists in 6th through 8th grade and advanced 5th graders.

The ride leader, Kathy McLeod will be accompanied by parent volunteers. Local mt. bike “legends" Gary Fisher, Marilyn Price, National Champion Mt. Biker, Kat Sweet and other local coaches may ride with us on occasion.

WHAT: Cyclist will learn routes to trails, trail riding loops and routes to local High Schools. 

WHEN: Wednesday at 2:30 March 15th and following Wednesdays March 23, April 13 and 20, May 11. The following Thursdays are March 31, April 7, 28, May 5 and 19.

WHERE: Blackie's Pasture trail head parking lot.

CONTACT: Kathy McLeod at 415-686-3805 to RSVP by text or voice prior to the ride. All minors must bring a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. All adult volunteers attending the rides must also sign a waiver.

Clinics To Benefit Youth & Other New Riders:

 

WHO: Belvedere and Tiburon Bike Club Clinics for youth learning bike handling skills and rules of the road. Lead instructor is Kathy McLeod, President of WheelEscape and a League Cycling Instructor. Parent volunteers are also present as well as middle schoolers volunteering for Community Service hours.

WHAT: Blackies Derby Clinics are for practicing starting, stopping, turning, descending, ascending, gears and how to navigate streets and paths. A New Kali High-Vis Helmets will be given to all children who commit to attending all four Friday “Blackies Derby Clinics.” 

WHEN: Fridays March 31, April 7, April 21st and April 28th from 4:00 to 5:00 

WHERE: Meet at the new Blackies Pasture picnic area
